Sunset Guitars offers three double cutaway models. The Artist is a large semi-hollowbody. The Soloist is a medium sized semi-hollowbody. The alder bodied Performer is chambered. We feature set maple necks with great access to higher frets. Spruce and maple cap our guitars.
We obsess about the acoustic response of our electric guitars. Maple necks into hand carved mahogany bodies, very long tenon construction, and hand carved spruce tops all power our semi-hollowbodies. Maple topped alder gives the right 'snap' to our chambered body guitar.
We make our own pickups, our own circuitry and even switches - not to be different, but for tone. The Multi-Voice pickups are designed to provide lots of tonal options from the flexibility we add inside the pickup rather then after the pickup. Very even string balance and useful options - that's our goal.
